On What Do All Agree? Prevalence is Very High !
u5 US studies find 28% - 37% of adults say they are
“especially sensitive” to common chemical exposures
u4 US studies find 15% - 17% say they’re “unusually sensitive”
u6.3% in CA and 1.9% in NM say they have been diagnosed
by a medical professional with MCS or “environmental illness”
uUS, Canadian and UK studies of Gulf War veterans all find
an increased prevalence of (still undiagnosed) MCS with a relative risk of 2 to 4 compared with undeployed era controls
uWhatever cause(s), must be very common and moreso in war.
u
* NOTE 1/2 W/ALLERGY AND 1/2 WITHOUT IN NC
* DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DIAGNOSED AND REPORTED PROVES NOT JUST AN MD BELIEF
* HUGE PERCENT ALREADY DIAGNOSED IN CA PROVES IT IS NOT JUST A QUACK/FRINGE DIAGNOSIS (<300 AAEM MEMBERS NATIONWIDE)
* GULF WAR STUDIES RANGE FROM UK FINDING mcs IN  0.3. Era VS 1.2 GW TO US 5% VS 15%  GW IN US.  MEANS OVER 100,000 US GW VETS HAVE MCS
